Adits and shafts situated on Burcombe, south of River Barle; includes extensive openworks on Roman Lode. Site of early (undated) iron working. Reopened by Dowlais Iron Co. in 1855; closed down in 1858. Number of adits reopened and trial shafts sunk in 1910-12. Remains of pumping waterwheel pit adjacent to Cornham Ford.
